HOW WE WORK
We base our prices on the specific condition of the respective accessory.
Once inducted the unit is stripped and inspected.
A detailed condition report is sent to the customer along with recommended work required and prices.
On acceptance by the customer, the work is carried out on the accessory.
Final inspection, test and certification is carried out.
Our turn times are measured in days and weeks, never months & years.
WHO WE ARE
Capt. Dan Watson
Dan took over as Managing Director after his Father passed away, and as Tony Watson was one of the World's leading Avon engineers, he's well aware he has some big shoes to fill. Dan was previously an Oil & Gas helicopter pilot operating all over the world, as well as serving as a Search and Rescue pilot for the UK Coastguard, with 500+ SAR missions in his career. Dan has always considered employee welfare as paramount to successful operations, winning a Bristow safety award, and operating as Flight Safety Officer for CHC Global.
David has been with Skytec Aviation since August 2018. A Rolls-Royce apprentice, David has worked for the ‘big three’ aero engine manufacturers, GE, Pratt and Whitney and Rolls-Royce. As an inspector, David worked on a multitude of military and civil engines before moving to their the testing department at Rolls-Royce. This experience led to the commissioning and operation of the Christchurch Engine Centre testbed in New Zealand. On returning to the UK David was testbed co-ordinator for RWG moving on to be their testbed manager in 2010.
Jennifer joined Skytec Aviation in October 2018 as administrator after achieving a BACC Hons in accounting. Jennifer utilises her accounting and organisational skill to achieve the smooth running of the companies paperwork and administration.
Robert has worked for Skytec Aviation since 1996, coming from a career as an aircraft engineer in the RAF. Robert has a vast wealth of knowledge of the Avon and Olympus accessories.
A Rolls-Royce apprentice, Eddie progressed to a career in engine management and quality engineering predominantly in Industrial Avons. After leaving Rolls-Royce to work in project management and as an engineering technician for Glasgow University, Eddie joined Skytec in 2004.
George has spent his working life with gas turbine engines. Having started his apprenticeship with Rolls-Royce in 1978, he has a wide ranging experience working on military and civil turboprop, turbojet, fan and helicopter engines. George is now bringing that knowledge to Skytec having joined us in August 2019.
